Oracle

a book of small answers

An old trick with a long name — bibliomancy: hold a question, open a book anywhere, and take what you find. This book keeps its own counsel, but some of its answers are found lines — a caption from the archive, a sentence from a note. It answers three times in a day and no more, because an answer you can only have a few of is one you will actually weigh. Your questions are never sent or stored anywhere.

A small honesty: the book is a toy of chance, for reflection and play — not advice. For the things that truly matter — health, money, the law, another person’s heart — weigh them with people, not pages. More in the site terms.

free, no accounts, always — if it earns a place in your day, you can buy me a coffee.
