Terms

The terms of this place, written the way the place is written. Using the site means you are okay with what follows. Last touched August 2026.

the short version

This is one person’s atelier — free to visit, no accounts, no ads, nothing sold. The instruments are small handmade tools and toys offered as-is; the photographs and notes are mostly Creative Commons, each page stating its own license. Be kind, take what helps, and don’t treat a toy as a professional.

the instruments

The lab holds small web instruments: a timer, a soundscape, calculators, checklists, and a couple of rituals. They are made with care but they are not professional tools, and nothing they produce is medical, financial, legal, or any other kind of professional advice.

In particular: the Oracle is a book of chance — its answers are randomly chosen lines, offered for reflection and play, and should never decide anything that matters. Embers is a small letting-go ritual, not therapy; if what you carry is heavy and constant, a person is better than a page. findahelpline.com reaches real listeners anywhere, at any hour.

Numbers from Settle and lists from Manifest are honest best-efforts — check anything important before money moves or a plane leaves.

your data

There are no accounts and no tracking scripts. Your preferences — timer lengths, sound mixes, theme, the rituals’ daily counts — live in cookies on your own machine and go nowhere else. What you type into the Oracle or Embers never leaves your browser: it is not sent, not stored, and not readable by anyone here.

The server keeps only the ordinary short-lived technical logs any website has (requests and errors), used for keeping the site standing and nothing more. The full picture is in the privacy policy.

the photographs & notes

Every photograph and note carries its own license, stated at the foot of its page — most are Creative Commons (CC BY 4.0), which means you are free to use, share, and adapt them, commercially included, with no permission needed, so long as you credit the author and link back to the source. The statement on the individual page is the one that counts: some works may carry other people’s contributions or different terms. If a page says nothing, or you are unsure, ask via the about page.

no warranties

The site is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. It is a personal project: things may move, break, or rest without notice, and to the extent the law allows, the keeper accepts no liability for losses arising from using it or relying on it. Your own judgment stays yours.

changes

These terms may be quietly revised as the atelier grows; the date above moves when they are. Meaningful changes will simply appear here — there is no one to email you, which is rather the point.
